Back on Unreel after a brace of top-shelf heaters, label staples Konrad Ritter & Neph turn in the deliciously groovy, 'Finish Your Breakfast' EP, a fresh hybrid slice scanning out the rainbowy zone between deep-diving soulfulness, sample-heavy mashups and hi-NRG funkiness, all topped off by a pair of deadeye bouncy revamps from Kompakt and Pampa affiliate, Dave DK.

Firing off a fine-tuned mix of Chicago-flavoured step, patched-up vox and volutes of ethereal escapology laced into one vibey momentum, 'Pick & Roll' is bass-fuelled house music tailored for transitional states and seamless fade-out, from no-nonsense boogie moves up onto otherworldly uplift, effortlessly. Shifting gears but not the method, EP highlight 'Bring It Home' knocks it out of the park with its stunningly designed assembly of piano-riddled poignancy and crystalline sound design running wild as skittish drums and infectious bass set to heavy-churn mode ensure optimal traction on the dance floor.

Equally lauded for his remixing talents as he is for his own productions, Dave DK adds his impeccable, further floor-oriented spin to 'Bring It Home'. The result is an imparable chugger that retains all of Ritter & Neph's subtle balance between jazz and functionality, injecting it with just the right amount of structural shoulder span and cutting-edge birr you'd expect from Dave, whereas the Beatport exclusive rework gives further space and leeway for its heavily delayed stabs and processed vocals to flourish. A continental breakfast of warm and soul-fulfilling club wares to feast on.
